Sister Suzanne Sims
is Director of Mission Advancement Ministry and Director of Development for the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. She has been an Ursuline Sister since 1967. Since its founding 10 years ago, she has been closely involved in developing support for Casa Ursulina. Sister Mary Elizabeth (Mimi) Ballard, with seven Chilean women, founded the Dianna Ortiz Ursuline Center for Women — Casa Ursulina — in 1997. She continues to serve as director. A native of Bardstown, Kentucky, Sister Mimi has been an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph since 1967. She began ministering in Chile in 1978 and has served in Latin America for 28 years. Sister Ruth Gehres, an Ursuline Sister since 1952, has served in the Office of Communications since September 2000. Working mainly with publications, she is the founding editor of the community magazine, Ursulines Alive. In fall 2007, Sister Ruth will join Sister Mimi in Chillán, as she begins a new ministry at Casa Ursulina. She is the designer of this web site, which she is continuing to administer in Chillán.
